Jvc parry call from the deep pdf download

Without spoilers, Game of Thrones did this recently when a major character started acting totally against their nature and the only reason was basically that their family gets crazy. This can be problematic if only played for laughs because it would be a truly horrifying experience. Just get better — major mental illness is gotten over by one great act of will. Madness is always an interesting mechanic when setup correct in a campaign.

That can be difficult to pull off. I lean towards madness being qualitative, meaning that the player and their perspective on the matter ultimately defines the madness and therein lies the spectacle! I myself have only had a character get as deep as the first level and, while a bit relieved, never got to explore how to RP it myself.

Mental disorders in your planned games is best first addressed in advance, such as a Session Zero. You would be surprised with how many people you know with this struggle. One Love. With the right mechanic, and the right roleplayers, it can be interesting to have PTSD carried into later sessions.

I will probably be grabbing a copy in the next week or so then Will forward the receipt to you when i do. Much appreciated. Loving this adventure and my party is loving it too I homebrewed a little to add a flashy end to chapter 1, Turned Bren into a party NPC early in the chapter after his rescue, then into a mindflayer as suggested, had him lure the party into a trap, introduced Thiliossk as a teaser BBEG, had them escape, and had Thiliossk command Bren, some thralls mutants little nerfed, but party was lvl 4 so , and finally lead a siege on the jarl's hold as the final arc of the first chapter, leaving the map in Bren's dead hands but, I'm getting confused a little bit about the chapter layout after this.

In chapter 2, are they expected to reach and stop all of the attacks, as in the timing is always attacks after the party arrives? And the side quests are used after that or before the attacks I assume before?

There are a ton of quests a hooks, which ones would you suggest as most important to keep the See more central plot in focus? I have been looking for a guide or some type of DM help on this campaign but have been unsuccessful, so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Again one of the best campaigns I've read, very informational for the DM compared to most "offical" campaigns. Thank You! Hi Darrian, The adventure is deliberately flexible so that you can run all three cities one after the other, or just one of your choice. The side quests take place mostly in chapter 3, but again you can weave them into chapter 2 if you prefer. Rob T. As everyone else says, this module is unbeatably good; in terms of story and structure, it's a great deal better than any official story modules from wizards.

There are some typos and a couple of things that don't quite add up, but the authou [ I cannot say enough good things about this campaign. First off it is beautifully structured. It was easy to read through and get a good idea of the story planted in my mind.

The leveling stat blocks of some of the recuring villians just makes it feel [ Jay G. Call From The Deep is a nautically themed adventure with a little something for everyone. Slightly Cthulhu? Pirates and high seas adventure? A little haunting? A scratch for [ David M. I haven't ran this campaign yet, but I've been reading through it, planning to run it after my group's current campaign ends.

Although, the two campaigns are both in FR, so will be canon together I am loving what I have read so far. Kai S. Having run this module, it's great! It's well put together with a rich cast of characters and an intriguing storyline. Definitely worth your time! See All Ratings and Reviews. Hi, if the check you're talking about is referred to as a 'group' check, the following applies: 'To make a group ability check, everyone in the group makes the ability check.

If at least half of the group succeeds, the whole group succeeds. Otherwise, the group still fails. If you do, I suggest you make one roll for the entirety of the crew. Cant express how much i love this module. Currently DMing two separate groups for it and its been such a blast. Question, for the map of the Sword Coast, what locations if any at all did you envision being secret?

I have gone through and scrubbed Ascarle, the Driftwood Docks, and Flamsterd's Sunken Tower from the map i gave my second group of players because they seemed like they were hidden locations meant to either be stumbled upon like the sunken tower or discovered through the course of the campaign driftwood docks and ascarle.

Those are the main ones, though you could potentially scrub any of the blue-labelled locations that are underwater. Are you planning on releasing a print by order? If so, roundabout when do you think you'd release it? Lastly, would love a fresh link to that discord ; Thanks! There will never be a Print on Demand version of this product, it's out of my control unfortunately. You can get a copy printed from a local supplier yourself once you've purchased it.

I see that you state in your comment very matter of factly that there will never be a print on demand. Is there any light that you could shed on that other than saying that it is out of your control?

I imagine there is a line wrapped around the block that would re buy a hardback POD. Looks to be a very well loved piece of work you have here. Hi Tony, I hope you enjoy the campaign when you get around to running it! The DMsGuild print on demand guidelines are vague and I've invoked the ire of the admins before, so they won't offer me print on demand for my products.

Rather, I've moved to publishing via Kickstarter - please do find me there! It's really very easy to get a personal copy printed, so if you're hankering for one I'd encourage you to seek out a local printer. Can I get a pdf for reading if I bought the fantasy grounds version? I too would like this option! It's the only reason why I haven't bought it yet. I want to prep before I start running it and I don't want to buy it on fantasy grounds and pdf because Holy moly nearly bucks.

I see now you have a VTT version. Unfortunately I've already bought the first version. Are the encounter maps still black and white? For the asking price, I was definitely hoping there were better maps to use then plain boring white maps with little detail, such a shame.. Let alone there are several errors that need addressing. That right there is the pure definition of a seller who knows they aren't to par and do not care if they rip you off.

Wont even address their poor editing either? Buyer beware. Unless its on sale, do not give this guy your money unless you plan on spending hours generating better maps than they provided and doing the proof reading they should of bothered with. This is perhaps the best selling full campaign on the DMsGuild.

Hi, first off thanks for a great module! I'm running this for my friends and they're really enjoying it having just defending Baldur's Gate. My only issue is the map classed as the Player's Map of the Sword Coast is full of spoiler locations. Is it possible to provide a Player's Map of the Sword Cost where you have removed the module-specific locations?

Thanks again. Thank you so much!
