Ffxiv error 11003 unable to download patch files

Does this occur immediately, or does it try to download the files and then fails? Are you connected to your network via an Ethernet cable or wirelessly? It started happening, I think on Thursday? My PC might have updated, I'm not sure.

If this is happening instantly, you may want to check that your anti-virus and firewall has exceptions for the game. Both XIV and your anti-virus will update periodically so how they will interact with each other will change. It may be interfering with the launcher even if it hasn't done so in the past. Edit: That did absolutely nothing. I deleted the old firewall exceptions and made new ones, and it did nothing. I completely disabled the firewall, and it did nothing.
